just returned home from our weekend getaway at hotel intercontinental. day 1- Saturday 3rd Marchhad lunch with dad at his favourite Ya Hua Bah Kut Teh;
apart from this main bah kut teh, we also ordered a few other dishes like taupok, taugwa, braised peanuts, youtiao & sliced fish soup. their taugwa here is seriously good! 
okay and then dad realised he frickinly left his wallet at home, so i had to foot the bill this time. LOL.headed home to retrieve his wallet and only checked in at the hotel at 4pm after all the hassle (we were 2 hours late!)i would say the ambience here is pretty classy, and according to dad its a 6-star hotel. introducing hotel intercontinental..main lobby

then we took a train down to funan digitalife mall where we chilled out at TCC to tap on their wifi access =pjoined sis & mum for dinner in the evening. i suggested Parklane Wanton Noodles just across bugis since we're on a saving-on-food-expenses plan. just $15 to feed the four of us, yays. spent my entire night in the national library till their closing at 9pm. was planning to use the internet so i went down to macs but i couldnt seem to access theirs, arrgh. got annoyed and decided to return to the room instead.
sis was practically mugging the entire night. what a mugger, haha.and then today was an extremely rush day.day 2- Sunday 4th Marchwoke up at 8am to get ready for breakfast- daddy & i had 2 complimentary buffet breakfast at their Olive Tree Restaurant (:its been ages since i had a proper hotel breakfast, i simply love gorging on the sumptuous spread of delicacies! 
i seriosly ate loads. i simply cant resist the food.

almost everything was good and really up-to-mark, but my 2 ultimate favourites had to be the freshly-made waffles & pancake;
both of it beared the very american kind of taste, like those which i had in boston. tasted oh-so-yummy with maple syrup & raspberry jam! (:

breakfast was really good- and i love it!
after the gorging session, we had to rush down to the shuanglin monastery to pray. lunch at toapayoh lor 5 with relatives, okay eating AGAIN. haha!
2nd March Friday

after school dear came to pick me up for prata at thomson road's Prata Cafe. had a nice thosai and their special french prata- it was damn delicious! and we actually made friends with the owners =x
next we indulged in an icecream fondue at Icekimo..
