3 days of saintallume orientation just flew past like that~

it was drop-dead tiring last night;
i fell asleep on the computer table till 2am before dragging myself to lie on the bed; then instantly sleeping without the lights off. it was until 5am that i realised it la, so proper sleep under the blankie was only from 5-9am. and all these happened with me still in my stinky sajc orientation tee, haha!

i have so much to say about my entire orientation experience! it was great to see how a bunch of 29 strangers from different schools bonded together as an og with the help of our 2 ogls; Eric and Timothy.

OG 22.

we had like our first og outing on thursday night, but with only 14 people. went to plaza sing, and the whole gang accompanied me to pastamania to collect my pay.so weird! dinner was at foodcourt (due to the halal pple) and it damn dumb having to chase a man out of the long table before we could get our seats.

(distorted due to resizing)

claire and i both had jap food. a salmon bento for me;

wow, good standards shown for a foodcourt jap food.

off to spotlight to get the red cloth for one of nermelha's identities. haha our gang were the only ones who practically disturbed the peace of spotlight's customers.

we were like super noisy la, with grace explaining her logic of hand-measurements. and goodness, we actually spent like $104 plus buying a whole load of red cloth.

haha we surely can think of the weirdest places to take our photos;

group picture outside the toilet. LOL.
(distorted due to resizing)

after some of them went home, a few of us headed to macs for sundaes (: it was faris's treat.

nice things.

Basically these three days we had plenty of games (Space odyssey) and stuffs like mass dances. The dances were totally lame but still created much laughter among us. The Trial (water games segment) got us all drenched with soap water, hit by countless water bombs and dunked with an entire pail of water. undesirable situations but really fun (:

another thing was spending time with the entire nermelha tribe during gatherings, tribe times and finale preparations. whoa, the ogls sure made us united and eager to win something for nermelha. the cheering part was like absolute madness.

also did our part for charity admist our orientation. worked in pairs to decorate glass cups to be sold for the salvation army.

og22's creations;

by grace & i;

oh yes, and i definitely gotta blog bout SA's food as well. oh my, some of the foods seriously sucked but some were still alrite.

Fried Hokkien Mee [Day 1 Lunch]

An really bad version of hokkien mee, which was overly bland- could only taste the starchyness of the yellow noodles, yucks! the only good part was the 2 prawns hidden in there and the chilli sauce. Still, it was a waste spending 2 bucks on this.

Cinnamon Crossiant [Day 2 Breakfast]

wow i loved this!! warm and freshly baked; crispy on the outer parts and soft on the inner. plus, it incorporates my favourite spice (cinnamon) into these swirls of pastry. yummy~

Wanton Noodles [Day 2 Lunch]

grace wanted to eat this so we all followed. gosh, yet another disappointing food! its like one of the worst rendition of wanton noodles; clumpy and undercooked noodles with wantons that tasted horrible. the charsiew was still alrite, although disgusting looking but tasted of sweet sauce. damn, another 2 bucks wasted on bad food.

After the 2 days of bad lunches for the girls, we decided to heed advice from the guys. apparently all of them ate chicken rice for 2 consecutive days and yuwei even requested for extra rice. and so for the third day, we decided to totally skip the noodle stalls and try out the chicken rice. the queue was like so long~

Chicken Rice [Day 3 Lunch]

here's my white chicken rice. the chicken was like pretty average, abit tough and full of fats. but now i get it, the thing about it is its rice- flavourful grains of firm rice. it was fragrant enough for me to clear up all the rice quickly. haha! Cucumbers and soup are self-service.

ruiqi's roast chicken rice;

Sultana Crossiant [Day 3 Breakfast]

yes, another wondeful crossiant from Cafe Toscana to start my day. but i still felt that the cinnamon one was still better.

Mushroom Prata [Day 3 Dinner]

at last, something not too saddening. the indian stall at the cafeteria serves both thosai and pratas, all made-to-order! there were like plenty of varieties- chocolate, strawberry, mushroom, tissue, egg, cheese, onion, masala and many many others. the most special one i saw people eating was the milo prata. i gotta try it one day~ okay, the mushroom slices were pathetic but the thin prata tasted good (: Faris let us try some of his tissue prata and everyone loved it. this was heaven compared to tkgs' prata.

ta-dah, that was my complete food review. but i'm still waiting to try from the malay stall as well as another really cool cafe serving icecreams, iceblendeds, waffles and stuffs. 3 more months to sample all the food, LOL.

Preparation for finale (in nermelha's identities);
with my darling claire;

N is for nermelha, haha!

us with that annoyingly spastic gay sister yuwei.

the gross-est gays of the universe

sarah and i are both fellow nermelha mates! (:

the last part of our orientation was the finale last night. had our house competition in the cultural centre. yay, nermelha won the best mascot with our tobasco!

eh, we seriously deserve it ya?

the next part was the highlight- disco party~! we all had to get an identification stamp as entry into it, cos according to timothy there's gonna be lotsa crashers for the night. so everyone gathered at the air-conditioned hall and partied (: we had a really cool live band to bring up the whole atmosphere, light sticks glowing in the dark, crazy dancing and jumping to the songs. okay, it was a chaotic madness scene. LOL. and wow, everyone got damn high when they sang one way; aww it was reallyy nice (:

okay yes, with that our day at SAJC ended at bout 10pm. og 22 gathered together for one last cheer and group photo;

haha then the guys seized the chance to crush eric;

and of course, timothy wasn't spared as well.

opened our sparkling juices at the bridge after the school gates closed. lol, shane actually wow-ed us with a swiss wine opener. had a crazy time sharing that 3 bottles of grape & apple sparkling juices. lastly, me faris tricia claire yuwei mingchin cassandra kenneth headed to macs for more chatting before going back.

now you know why i dropped dead immediately. 3 tired days with so little rest! arrgh. but i really gotta praise ourselves for all the cooperation and unity shown as an og. the guys all participated enthusiastically in the girly cheers with those awfully vain and gay actions, while the girls did their part to scream like nobody's business. really had loads of fun joking with everyone, and spending this 3 days as a group. the unforgettable merlion clap is like stuck in my head for good~

a few last words; OG 22 ROCKS.

(all photos are taken with canon ixus 800IS but i miss using my ixus 40!)
