its my beloved grandma's birthday today!i shan't start ranting about how nice a person she is or how important a role she played in my childhood years; but all i wanna say is i love her loads (:our family gathered for lunch at some vegetarian eating place in Serangoon North. we took up like almost the entire shop space and the service was slow cos there was only one chef. pathetic =x food was so-so. after that we headed to grandma's place for cake-cutting.
everything went fine and happy, except for the part that mum bought a durian cake. so obviously i didnt get a share of it cause the sight of durians really puts me off. happy birthday grandma!fine, i shall admit that i don't know her ageSaturday 27th Jan -day with familymy parents and i made a re-visit to New York New York! but this time round, i was not exactly pleased with the sandwich.Turkey & Cranberry Sandwich
Yummy toasted bread, but unbearably salty turkey ham. arrgh.our family is currently on a stupid meal-choosing rotating system. for each of our dining-out meals (fri night & weekends), each of us will take turns to choose the location and everyone has to follow suit. no arguments entertained; what a dumb idea of mum's. and so it was my choice for dinnerNasi Padang River Valley.

Good sotong and curry chicken, thats all. oh yes, i made a trip down to the bank and applied for my POSB card. will receive my very own personalised one (with embossed name) in two weeks time! yays. aiya, fine i know everyone already has it but its like a huge achievement for me alrites =pelaine is getting her own posb card. hahs.okay it was also today that i realised our family's financial problems.ohmygosh im such a lousy member of the family.IM IN NEED TO SAVE MONEY.Friday 26th Jani was told that i had culinary interview at 4pm. what bad time planning! and so i met peckhong for lunch @ PS after school before returning for the interview. we ate at Ramen Ramen and practically imagined ourselves in Japan. haha so cute can! went back to school after that and found out that the sidegate was only for exiting. luckily for me, i saw shane and aixia and they taught me how to climb the fence. YES, i climbed the damn fence to get into school. so unglam.and the interview was pure rubbish. initially i had no problem answering all of their questions with confidence but i got stuck at the last one. took so long to think of a crap answer despite all their prompting. arrgh. Thursday 25th Jani finally worked again!boss saw me and he was like; "you finally appeared". haha! i had a Spicy Curry Chicken Pizza for dinner.
when there's Zul, theres great pizza. the chicken chunks were well-marinated in a similar-satay-style sauce. great combi with the capsicums and onions, on pastamania's yummy thin dough crust. delicious~ work was tiring after all that cleaning up.went straight to bed as usual.
