a very happy 2007 to all!and fyi, pastamania is changing the menu with effect from today.a few new items added, while 2 pizza types are removed. there will even be a mango dessert pizza~i admit i've been slacking alot in my blogging recently, haha cause everything is packed up and i get so drained out by the time work ends. so my first ever new year resolution is to post an entry today (: here goes my morning for this brand new year; lunchie with relatives is a yearly thing. have no idea why this time they picked this roadside vegetarian restaurant we used to visit like years ago- Bodhi Snack House along potong pasir road.

(other foods in joybites) all of a sudden someone suggested an icecream party at my place. okay yes, we were all damn "on" about it and seriously went to shop for the ingredients. Got our toppings like hersheys chocolate syrup, almond flakes, rainbow chips, wafer fans, fruits and stuffs. but the lousy NTUC we went to did not have the icecream flavours i wanted, so we headed to cold storage for the icecreams instead.

dinner was fishhead steamboat at my cousins place. made a short trip down to compasspoint and the nearby pasar malam with some of my younger cousins. we took a super cheap $4 neoprint at timezome. quality turned out rather lousy. thats about it.31st December Sunday- Great World City + Vivocity + Worki woke up extremely late cos i did closing the previous night. only had time to get changed before i was rushed out of the house. it was time to find guigui a new home ): haha, its a long story, but apparently an unknown tortoise landed up in our house during the rainy season. sis named and took care of it for like a couple of days but we decided to let it go.her guigui;
initially we came to Bright Hill Temple cos they have this famous pond speacially for people to set tortoises free. 
But it was to our disgust to witness that the entire pond was overcrowded with thousands of them!

yucks man! the entire scene of the pond was totally gross. anyways, luckily for it, we were told that they had stopped accepting tortoises anymore. so, its final home was a large spacious pond at bishan park.
okay yes, farewell to guigui. sis is like starting to miss is already. drove to Great World City for some shopping. i wanted to try the River Valley Nasi Padang at Zion Road but we found out it was closed ): in the end we had lunch at the wanton noodles beside it. Teck Kee Wanton Noodles was featured in makansutra with a 2/3 rating. 
okay the noodles were unusually thick and curly but still offers some degree of springyness. Well coated in the light sauce, it does not pack much taste unless you add the chilli. Not too bad, but not fantastic.ooh i love our extra order of shrimp dumplings (shuigow)
there were like black fungus, chestnuts and a fresh shrimp stuffed inside. sweet and good (:went across the road to Zion Road Food Centre for a rojak and dessert.Clementi Brother's Rojak 
poorly done youtiao and taupok which are not crispy at all. Gingko Nut Soya Beancurd from House of Soya Beans.
This stall was formerly from chompchomp where we always bought from last time.got 2 tops from zara while sis got a pair of jeans. next, we went to Vivocity to collect a top that she reserved from levis. Vivo was like crowded as usual.
feeling tired, we stopped by Coffee Bean for cakes (:ahh, my Chicago Cheesecake ($4.90)
okay this is super rich in the cheese taste with a tinge of lemon zest. but the problem is, the overpowering cheese taste makes me a little sick of it when im halfway thru.no match for the cheesecake cafe (: still, it was good enough for me to clear it.dad got a Tiramisu ($4.90)
Left for work after that. Maggie recommended me a Sesame Coriander Pizza for my dinner and so i went along with it.
err, it was tasty but oversweet cause of the overload of mayonnaise.Working with Maggie & Yvonne was fun and we chatted alot. what made me happier was the extra pay cause it was new year's eve (: After doing closing, Yvonne and i had a sinnful countdown supper at cafe cartel. dear came to pick me home after that while Yvonne joined Maggie & Amanda for more celebrations. My annoying parents just refused to let me follow, wth.i've been doing shopping almost everyday! post-christmas sales are something not to miss out on (: mango. zara. topshop. esprit. levis; all having SALES.
